"I had a good car, and used my track position to get out front and stay there," Pressley said. "It was all the luck of the draw, due to the track inverting the fastest five cars to start the race. There at the end, in the last 10-laps, I made a few mistakes, and Marty (Ward, the second-place finisher) got right on me." Pressley seemed to get up on the wheel and drive just a bit harder, and had lapped traffic keep away Ward's threat.
Roberts was the third-place finisher, with Anthony Anders taking fourth and Mitchell Mote was fifth. In the second main event, Mitchell Mote jumped out front and showed the way for the first half of the race, then Anthony Anders stepped up and passed for the lead. He was never headed, partly because Pressley and Ward were trying hard to get in position to pass.
Pressley took second, with Ward third. Kenneth Headen worked his way up to fourth, and Roberts, who spun out in a racing altercation with Pressley on the 23rd lap, had to restart at the end of the field. He worked his way back to fifth to salvage a lot of points.
Tim Crowe led from start to finish in the first Charger race, and Jamie Tate took second. Zachary Pressley was fourth and Andy Norris took fifth. Tyler Stephens was afraid something was wrong with his car, and he drove as hard as he could to stay ahead of Les Mahaffey to take the checkered flag. James Johnson was third, with Scott Mann fourth and Johnny Ramey fifth.
In the second Renegade Main Dale Walker came from worst to first after the disqualification. Matt Hale took second, and David Cepek was third. Monica Blount was fourth and Dane Janelli took fifth. |

Asheville's Coleman Pressley made winning look easy in the first of Greenville-Pickens Speedway's Twin 50's Late Model Stock main event. 
It was the third victory of the season for Pressley, who was six points ahead of both Ward and defending track champion David Roberts entering the race. The latter two were eight and 10 points down entering the second race. 
"I thought before the race we had saved a little bit of our tires, and that would be the difference, but it wasn't," Anders said. "It looked to me like the other guys were having problems that didn't involve us. We have worked hard on this car, and hopefully we are where we need to be and can have some racing fun before the end of the season," Anders said. "We were running good, in the lead, but the others were having problems." 
In the Sportsman main event, C.M. Knight and Randy Ballew were eliminated in a first-lap accident, and Stephen Horton, who started on the front row, led for the entire 15 laps to claim the victory. Greg Darnell finished second, with Jamie Altop third, Chris Chastain fourth and Bob Root fifth. 
In the first Renegade main event, the first two cars that crossed the finish line were disqualified for having sway bars that were too big, and the same infraction collected the first car across the start-finsh line in the second race. Scott Cordell was declared the winner of the first race, with Freddy Hale, Jr. second and Bobby Butler third. Tony Leslie was fourth and Tony Leslie was fifth.
