Roberts was the top qualifier and drew No. 1 in the five-car inversion. He used his pole position starting spot to jump out when the Green flag fell, and he led the entire 40-laps for the victory.

Coleman Pressley was in second, and pressing Roberts until the last five laps, when Roberts pulled ahead an additional three car lengths.

"I don't think we should race until it gets 100 degrees," Roberts said in Victory Lane. "I love a slick, greasy track. I raced for years on dirt, and I like to have a car right on the edge of control. Tonight I had an awfully good car, and Coleman was racing his heart out trying to get up to me, but he just was a bit short."

Four-time champion Marty Ward took third, and the highlight of the whole race was when Kenneth Headen and Ralph Carnes went by on both sides of Jimmy Doyle to take over fifth and sixth places.

Anthony Anders was the fourth-place finisher, ahead of Headen and Carnes. Doyle was seventh, Jeremy Burns eighth. Grant Von Schalkwyk took ninth and Anthony Cordell took tenth.

It was Roberts' second win of the season, and tightened up the points in both track and national standings.

Tim Lollis started on the front row and maintained his position without problems in the Sportsman main event, winning while Jamie Altop took second. Bob Root finished third, with Chris Chastain fourth and Greg Darnell fifth.

In the first Renegade race, Matt Hale made a quick move on the frontrunners when the green flag flew and took command of the race. He led the entire 10 laps, with Benny Taylor, who had started second, finishing second. Justin Cone was third, followed by Dane Janelli and David Cepek.

Ray McAdams started at the rear of the field and advanced 12 places to take the checkered flag in the second Renegade race. Dale Stancil was second, moving up from fifth, and Freddy Hale, Jr., finished third. Dale Walker was fourth and Scott Smith took fifth.

Zachary Pressley had a perfect starting spot in the first Charger race, the pole, and he stayed right there in the front for the entire race. Les Mahaffey came up from sixth to finish second, but he was never able to mount a charge for first. Ricky Stephens was third, with Mike Hughes fourth and Tim Crowe fifth.

Tyler Stephens went from worst to first in a nine-car field to win the second Charger main event, and James Johnson took second. Johnny Rainey was third, with Scott Mann and Bryan Davis rounding out the top five.
