Torres Marty Ward took over three-quarters of the race to run down Toby Porter, but the veteran from Marietta took the point with eight laps to go and drove to victory in the Late-Model Stock main event at Greenville-Pickens Speedway Saturday night. After winning both ends of the special 50-lap races last week, Ward has now stretched his points lead to 24 in his quest to become only the second six-time champion in the track's history. With Toby Porter finishing second, Anthony Anders was third. Trey Gibson was fourth, and Jeremy Burns was fifth. Ward thanked his pit crew for giving him a car capable of winning, and the Late-Model Stock cars now take a week off with the visiting PASS series cars visiting the historic half mile oval next Friday night. Tim Lollis led from start to finish in the Sportsman main event, and Jamie Altop, the points leader in the division going into the race, was running second until half way, when he spun into the wall. That put Les Mahaffey in second, with Anthony Anders third. Jamie Tate and Ron Hall were fourth and fifth, and Chris Chastain took sixth. Altop had to settle for sixth. A last-lap crash between Charger division leader Chuckie Greer and Ricky Stephens seems to put James Johnson in Victory Lane, but officials then declared Stephens, who took the checkered flag, actually won the race. That moved James Johnson into second, with Rob Horton taking third. Rick Kelley was fourth and Sam Staggs took fifth. Zach Meinders took his first win of the season in the first Renegade race, taking the point midway through the race. Ray Mullinax took second, with Jeremy Drummond and Freddy Hale taking third and fourth. Charlie Trammell, who started last due to last week's victory, came all the way up to fifth. Shawn Campbell outran T.J. Lollis to take the win in the second Renegade main event, and Christy Kelley took third. Campbell and Lollis battled through most of the race, before Campbell grabbed the lead for good. Matt Hale was fourth and Travis Cox took fifth Drew Moser took his first win of the season in the Pure Stock division, with Chase Thomason taking second. Dylan Crowe was third and Camden Francis was fourth.
