It took Toby Porter 26  laps to get by Ralph Carnes Saturday night at Greenville Pickens Speedway, Porter roars past Carnes for GPS victory, but once  he did, nothing could stop him from running off for the victory in the Late-Model Stock main event.

Porter, only eight  points behind points leader Marty Ward, was just seeming to take his time to run  down Carnes, who last won in the Shrine Race at the historic half-mile oval  several years ago.
Ward, who was fourth in  the early going after qualifying fifth, finished third.

“We had good cars  tonight,” Porter said. “Ralph runs an Ortec car, the same as I do, and both of  our cars were running good. I need to thank my crew, the guys who work on my  car, because everything went well tonight.” With Toby winning,  Carnes and Ward in second and third, Kenneth Headen was fourth and Jeremy Burns  took fifth.

Tim Lollis took command  quickly in the Sportsman race, with Jamie Tate moving up to second from his  second-row starting position. Jamie Altop took third

Chuckie Greer ran down  Tim Crowe with five laps to go and went on to win the Charger main event. Crowe  took second, and Zach Pressley passed Andy Norris on the last corner to take  third.

In the first Renegade  main event, Gray McJunkin took advantage of a later caution flag to pass the car  that had let the first seven laps, and went on to victory. Then in the tech  shed, he found out he would have won the race anyway, because the car that led  the early part of the race was disqualified. Michael Altop took second, with  Jeremy Drummond third.

Shawn Campbell, who had  taken the season opener, went back to Victory Lane Porter-roars-past-Carnes-for-GPS-victory#)  in the  second Renegade race. Travis Cox ran second, with Kenneth Bearden third.

In the Pure Stock main,  Camden Francis took the victory, with Chase Thomason in second and Kenneth  Bearden, Jr. taking third.
