Toby Porter worked his way into Victory Circle at Greenville-Pickens Speedway Saturday night, but he had to fight Trey Gibson on practically every lap to get there. The duo, with current points leader Marty Ward lurking just one car-length back, fought side by side for lap after lap. One lap Porter would have a fender out front, and the next lap it would be Gibson. It wasn't until just a few laps remained in the 40-lap main event that Porter got out front to stay. Gibson stayed just ahead of Ward, and Anthony Anders was fourth. "I had a good car tonight. Marty has made us work hard all season, and we finally have our program turned around. It's good to win again.: Jeremy Burns finished fifth in the main, with Kenneth Headen in sixth and John Hawkins in seventh. Jamie Tate took the lead early and stayed right there in the Sportsman main event, with Tim Lollis taking second. Jamie Altop was third, Chris Chastain fourth and Ron Hall fifth. Chuckie Greer seemed to have everything going his way in the Charger main event, but the race was just one lap too long. Greer lost power coming out of the four turn on the white flag lap, and Tim Crowe passed for the victory. Crowe, who came into the race leading the Charger points, padded his lead over Greer, who ended up eleventh. Mike Mote was second, with James Johnson third. Ricky Stephens and Ryan Dombrosky rounded out the top five. In the first Renegade race, Travis Cox jumped out front early and stayed right there to take the win, and the excitement of the race came on the last lap. Jeremy Drummond and Andrew Cordell were battling for second place when they got together in the fourth turn. TJ Lollis passed on the outside to take second, with Alex Guthrie in third. Edward Ragsdale and Freddy Hale, Jr., completed the top five. Terry Hawthorne, who went into the evening leading the Renegade points, kept his edge by winning, just one-half car length over Shawn Campbell. Hawthorne led the whole race, but Campbell kept getting closer and closer until the final turn of the last lap. Hawthorne slid just a bit wide, and Campbell managed to get on the high side, but couldn't completely make the pass. Zach Meinders took third, with Travis Long fourth and Jim Fitzgerald fifth. Dylan Crowe won the Pure Stock main event, with Camden Francis second. Chase Thomason was third and Pierce Perkins fourth. Jamie Altop and his Sportsman Truck pit crew won the Garner's Huntin and Fishin All-Star Pit Crew Challenge.
