Anthony Anders took the win in the Late-Model Stock division Saturday night, and in Victory Lane he said that particular car was four for four. "I haven't been outrun in this car," Anders said. "I qualified third, and this car just gets faster and faster as the race goes on. We really are blessed, and just hope we can continue to run well."
Kenneth Headen came up to take second and maintain his points lead, with Randy Porter, Trey Gibson and Jeremy Burns rounding out the top five.
On the 16th lap of the 40-lap main, Anders, Randy Porter, Toby Porter and Jeremy Burns went in the first turn bunched together. Burns and Toby Porter were involved in spins.
Headen took over second on lap 21, and Trey Gibson, a Drive for Diversity driver this season, took fourth. Gibson was driving his own car, and D4DD officials explained before the race Gibson was technically off this week do to last week's rained out schedule.
With Will Burns in sixth and Toby Porter taking seventh, another former track champion, Roger Powell took eighth in this his first local appearance of the season. Tasha Kummer was ninth, and Mackena Bell, another D4D driver, took tenth.
Headen took the win in the Truck division to keep his season-long winning streak and points lead intact. But he had to work hard to make the win. It took fifteen of the 20 laps before Headen passed Lollis, for the lead. Les Mahaffey finished third. Bot Root was fourth and Jamie Altop was fifth.
The results of the Truck race are unofficial pending post-race inspection.
In the first Renegade main event, Travis Long passed Kyle Ballew to take the top spot, and held on for the victory and Travis Cox took second. Jeremy Drummond was third, with Bernie Dyche and Kyle Ballew rounding out the top five.
Shawn Campbell went from worse to first to win the second Renegade main event, with Edward Ragsdale taking second. Ryan Walker was third, with Larry Nabors and Dale Walker in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Mike Mote was out front and stayed right there despite a rash of caution flags and tight racing. Chuckie Greer took second by passing Ricky Stephens on the last lap in a photo finish and James Johnson was fourth. Andy Norris took fifth.
Freddy Hale, Jr., won the Street Stock main, with Furman Craft finishing second.
