WARD'S 2011 PROGRAM HEATING UP, SCORED HIS SECOND STRAIGHT VICTORY LAST SATURDAY NIGHT.

There are race fans at Greenville-Pickens Speedway who declare the track to be 'Marty Ward's House' and Saturday night the six time and defending track champion let the competition race behind him.     Ward led every lap for the win, while former champion Randy Porter did the majority of racing in the 40-lap event.

After Randy battled Ward, he then had to defend the second spot to Anthony Anders. At the halfway point, Anders passed, and then Randy had to battle Kenneth Headen for the third. Headen passed, and just before the end of the race Toby Porter passed to take the fourth position. Randy Porter finished fifth.

Kenneth Headen kept his perfect streak alive in the Truck division, winning his third race of the year. It took Headen just three laps to get to the point, with Robin Darnell second. Guy Nealy was third as Jamie Altop and Michael Altop was fifth.

Chuckie Greer held off Tim Crowe to win the Charger main event with James Johnson taking third. Bryan Davis took fourth and Andy Norris was fifth.

After our win last week we changed a lot of things on the car, and I really don't know if it helped or hurt," Ward said in Victory Lane. "Whatever happened, the car was good enough tonight for me to take the win. Ward then thanked sponsors Brian Ramey and Home Town Food Stores, and said he wouldn't be able to race without their assistance.

In the first Renegade race, Shawn Campbell grabbed the victory and the car that took the checkered flag second was disqualified. This put Travis Long, who started in the rear due to last week's win, in second. Travis Cox was third, and Larry Nabors was fourth. Bobby Butler was fifth.

Andrew Cordell, who won last year's All-Star race, worked his way back to Victory Lane as Ryan Walker took second. Dale Walker was third, and Edward Ragsdale was fourth, ahead of Jackie Manley.     Freddy Hale, Jr., won the Street Stock main with Furman Craft in second.
