Anthony Anders grabbed the lead at the beginning of the Late-Model
Stock main event, and stayed right there for the win, but the victory was not
without it's moments. Anders faced pressure early from Randy Gentry, and in
the latter stages it was Trey Gibson who took second place.
While Gibson was working his way to second, he never really had a
chance to catch Anders. Gibson, who drives for the Drive for Diversity team,
had mechanical problems with his Revolution Racing car during the afternoon,
and was able to bring his own car to the track in time to make the race.
In the winner's circle, Anders praised the mechanics who maintain his
car, and said he just made one smaly adjustment from last week and his car
handled very well.
With Gibson in second, Randy Porter took third to take the points
lead. Toby Porter was fourth, and Kenneth Headen, who went into the race with a
two-point lead in the standings, now sits second with his fifth place
finish.
Will Burns was sixth, followed by Joey Collins, Jeremy Burns, Randy
Gentry and Scott Bishop.
Kenneth Headen kept his winning streak intact in the Truck Main
Event, catching Tim Lollis for the lead with two laps remaining in the race. "I
don't know what happened there at the end, but a lapped car allowed me to
get close enough to make the pass," Headen said.
Lollis was second, with Bob Root third, Kerry Lawrence fourth, and
Jamie Atlop fifth.
Tim Crowe, who was involved in a major crash just one week ago, took
the victory in the Charger main, despite late pressure from Chuckie Greer,
who finished second. James Johnson was third, and Ricky Stephens was fourth.
Mike Mote took fifth.
The results of the Charger main event were unofficial pending
post-race inspection.
In the first Renegade race, the car that took the checkered flag
failed to make it through the tech shed, and Travis Long was awarded the
victory.
Matt Hale was second, with Shawn Campbell third and Ryan Walker was
fourth. Robert Emory took fifth.
Kyle Ballew worked his way to the front and took the win in the
second Renegade Main Event, and Andrew Cordell was second. Jeremy Drummond took
third, with Larry Nabors and Travis Cox rounding out the top five.
Fraddie Hale, Jr., took the win in the Street Stock main, with Chris
Francis digging hard to take second. Furman Craft was third.
