Anthony Anders waited almost 100 laps of the S.H. Carter 125 late-model stock main event Monday night, but when he took control, he was never headed to take the $10,000 winner's purse at Greenville-Pickens Speedway. Anders took the win with Randy Porter, who led the race after the first 20 laps, taking second. Porter maintained his lead in the points standings. Kenneth Headen, who is high in the points, took third, but Toby Porter, also in the thick of the points battle, had trouble on the first lap and was unable to continue, putting a crimp in his championship chances. “I tried to pace myself for most of the race,” Anders said. “Once I got in front, I went all-out for the last 25 laps.” Jeremy Burns and Randy Hawkins completed the top five. Hawkins, from Travelers Rest, has been unable to compete regularly this season, as he is a seven-time National Champion motorcycle rider. Chris Lawson was sixth, with Randy Gentry seventh and Mackena Bell eighth. Jesse Little and Will Burns rounded out the top ten. In the Trucks main event, Headen led from start to finish, with Jamie Altop in second. Guy Nealy was third, as Ron Hall and Jeffrey Kummer rounded out the top five. Michel Altop was sixth. The win pads Headen's division points lead. “We got this thing back in Victory Lane this week, because these guys work hard to make sure this truck is exactly right,” Headen said. Freddy Hale, Jr. won the Street Stock main event, with Furman Craft taking second. Alex Guthrie didn't exactly cross the finish line first, but after technical inspection he was the first legal Renegade car in the main event. With Guthrie winning, Jeremy Drummond was second and Jamie Burns took third. Travis Long and Chris Kelley completed the top five.
