It took 37 laps for Anthony Anders to get by pole sitter Randy Porter, but the pass was made and Anders held on to take the checkered flag. "That was some race between me and Randy, wasn't it?," Anders said. " We have been working hard on our car, trying to get it to handle, so we put on four new springs today and here we are in Victory Lane." Randy Porter, who was the pole sitter due to being the top qualifier before last week's program was rained out, maintains a tight grasp on the track championship points lead, as Kenneth Headen, who sits second in points, finished third. Toby Porter was fourth, and Scott Bishop was the fifth-place finisher. Trey Gibson, Ralph Carnes, Tasha Kummer, Ryan Reid and Dale Dove rounded out the top ten. Headen started on the pole and had no difficulties in the Trucks race, with Tim Lollis coming up to second, and Jamie Altop in third. Gene Burnett and Jon Martin completed the top five. Brandon Fox went to Victory Lane in the Renegade division, marking his first victory. "I've been trying and trying and trying, and tonight I have new tires on my car. That helped a lot, "Fox said. Jeremy Drummond was second, with Ryan Walker third, Jamie Burton fourth, and Travis Cox fifth. Charger division points leader Chuckie Greer padded his lead by taking the win, and Sam Staggs finished second. Andy Norris was third, with Bryan Davis and Jeremy Johnson rounding out the top five. Freddie Hale, Jr. won again in the Street Stocks race, with David Rader second and Furman Craft third. Mark Gibson completed the field. |
